Kista, 16 September 2022. OHB Sweden, a subsidiary of the space group OHB SE, and Satlantis, a space technology company from Spain, have signed a contract to supply together two microsatellites based on the OHB Sweden’s InnoSat platform. The satellites will embark four optical channels provided by Satlantis and will be launched in 2024. This type of satellite is suitable for specific applications such as methane emission detection.

“This is the fifth application of our InnoSat platform, and the demonstration of the versatility and competitiveness of our product. Our InnoSat satellite platform combines the reliability and robustness of design, based on our 30 years of heritage. The combination with the Satlantis camera technology is the right sweet spot for the most competitive infrared solution for Earth observation based on microsatellites,” said Benoit Mathieu, CEO of OHB Sweden.
