OHB at the Space Tech Expo in Bremen: Space technology for the sake of humanity and the protection of our planet

Bremen, 14. November 2022. Side by side, booth after booth, tightly packed together – all that makes the space industry's heart beat faster: When the space community is going to meet at the "Space Tech Expo" in Bremen's exhibition halls from tomorrow onwards, space and technology group OHB SE will be showcasing the key role space plays in all our lives and how important space technology is for us humans.

"We are looking forward to the Space Tech Expo, which has grown to become an annual industry trade fair and succeeds in a quite remarkable way in bringing together small, innovative suppliers with the large space companies, start-ups from the new space scene and the scientific community," says OHB CEO Marco Fuchs. "As this year's fair is also being held in the run-up to the ESA Council Ministerial Meeting next week in Paris, we will be able to discuss the key issues once again with our partners and customers at the space site in Bremen, in particular the importance of Earth observation to tackle climate change, increased security thanks to satellite reconnaissance systems, secure connectivity as well as autonomous European access to space thanks to an enhanced Ariane rocket programme," continues Fuchs.

The question of how Germany is being prepared for spaceflight in the future and how Bremen can be further strengthened as Europe's outstanding and most important space industry site will also be central issues at this year's Space Tech Expo.

Trade visitors can look forward to interesting discussions and an intensive exchange of ideas. OHB is looking forward to three days of pure space feeling in the "City of Space" - three days in which spaceflight will connect people because space technology has never been as important as it is today. The trade fair will be flanked by an extensive conference programme, which OHB experts will attend as key speakers on different high-level panels.

In the exhibition area, OHB's very elegantly designed booth will be showcasing, for example, how satellites in the CO2M mission will be able to detect both natural and anthropogenic carbon dioxide in the future, how protection and security are provided by satellite systems such as Electra, OpSat, SARah or Hera, the advantages of an all-electric satellite, what radar can offer compared to optical cameras and how we are protecting our Earth from an asteroid.
