OHB presents “Eine große Nachtmusik” at the “Musikfest Bremen 2018“

August 22, Bremen. Not just the German astronaut Alexander Gerst on the ISS is a great music fan, his passion for music is also deeply rooted 400 kilometers below him at the space and technology group OHB SE. One of the reasons why OHB is again supporting the kick-off event “Eine große Nachtmusik” of the 29th Music Festival on Saturday, August 25, 2018. Another reason for this commitment is the friendship of company founder Christa Fuchs with Music Festival Director Prof. Thomas Albert and her passion for classical music. For Marco Fuchs, CEO of OHB SE and son of Christa Fuchs, culture is a clear location factor:
"The promotion of cultural events at our headquarters in Bremen is very important to us. Culture is a location factor and the Bremen Music Festival brings the musical Champions League to Bremen once a year. This makes Bremen attractive for employees. OHB promotes the Musikfest because it links business and culture. We are delighted to welcome many enthusiastic classical music fans to the opening event."

In addition to the Fuchs family, numerous music enthusiasts will once again flock to the concerts around the illuminated market square on the opening evening. At the three starting times, at 7.30 pm, 9 pm and 10.30 pm respectively, the concerts start in the nine venues: Glocke, St. Petri Dom, Obere Rathaushalle, Haus der Bürgerschaft, Haus Schütting, Unser Lieben Frauen Kirche, Inner Court of the Atlantic Grand Hotel, the Regional Court and the Nord LB. Musically, the 27 concerts go through the centuries. Orchestral sounds, string quartet or jazz - the "Great Night Music" has the right music for every ear. The artists Teodor Currentzis, Jos van Immerseel or Alessandro Quarta and their own ensembles as well as the choir Tenebrae, the accordion virtuoso Martynas Levickis, the classical band SPARK or the Richard Bona Group will be present.
Visitors can put together a musical route according to their taste. Important: A concert must take place in St. Peter's Cathedral or in the bell, as well as at least one concert at one of the other seven venues. The concerts have a length of about 45 minutes, so that there is enough time to change the venue.
