The OHB Group is currently in final negotiations with the U.S. company SpaceLink Corporation regarding the deployment of a constellation of four telecommunications satellites. OHB System AG (a wholly owned subsidiary of OHB SE) is expected to sign an “Authorization to Proceed” next week. This document constitutes the legal basis for the start of the project, which covers the delivery of the satellites as well as services related to their launch and operation. The total contract value is expected to exceed USD 300 million. In addition, OHB SE intends to invest approximately USD 25 million in SpaceLink Corp. Discussions regarding both transactions are already so far advanced that the relevant terms are expected to be legally finalized next week.
