OHB SE: European Commission orders a further four Galileo satellites from OHB System AG

The European Commission has decided to exercise one of its contractual options for the European Galileo navigation system and has therefore ordered a further four satellites from OHB System AG, a subsidiary of OHB SE. The European Commission and ESA have a delegation agreement by which ESA acts as design and procurement agent on behalf of the EU represented by the European Commission – Galileo’s owner.

Enhanced efficiency and security thanks to more precise airspace monitoring: OHB subsidiary LuxSpace awarded contract by ESA for study into improved aircraft positioning and monitoring

Betzdorf, LuxSpace, a subsidiary of Bremen-based space technology group OHB SE, is to conduct research into new and innovative approaches to aircraft positioning and monitoring based on the ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Suveillance-Broadcast) process for the European Space Agency ESA.

New contract award for OHB: European Commission orders a further four Galileo satellites

Bremen – The European Commission has exercised one of its contractual options for the European Galileo navigation system and ordered a further four satellites from OHB System AG. As recently as in June 2017, the Bremen-based satellite producer had been awarded a contract for eight Galileo FOC*) satellites under the Batch 3 tender. “Once again, the quality of our navigation satellites has spoken for itself. I am very grateful to the European Commission and the European Space Agency ESA for the confidence which they have placed in us and our partners,” says Marco Fuchs, Chief Executive Officer of OHB SE.

OHB employees sought-after experts at the International Astronomical Congress IAC 2017 – the international sector get-together taking place in Australia

Board members and experts from all companies within the Bremen-based space and technology group OHB SE are traveling to Adelaide, Australia, to attend the International Astronautical Congress IAC at which space agencies, the space technology industry and also scientists will be present in large numbers. The organizers have accepted more than 20 presentations from representatives of the OHB SE subsidiaries OHB System AG, MT Aerospace AG and Antwerp Space.
