November 8th, 2017, Bremen – OHB System AG, a subsidiary of Bremen-based space technology group OHB SE (Prime Standard; ISIN: DE0005936124), has been awarded today by the relevant authorities of the Federal Republic of Germany the realisation of a satellite system for the global electro-optical reconnaissance.




OHB expands activities in the NewSpace sector with the founding of Blue Horizon Deutschland

Bremen – With the founding of Blue Horizon Germany, Bremen-based space and technology group OHB SE is broadening its activities in the New Space sector. In April 2017, the listed company founded the start-up Blue Horizon in Luxembourg – as a company intended to substantiate the vision of enabling sustainable living in outer space and revitalising desolated landscapes on Earth. Both are enabled by technologies and processes from the field of “life sciences”.



OHB awarded a study for 3D Printing on the moon

Bremen. OHB System AG, a subsidiary of the Bremen-based space and technology group OHB SE, signed a contract with the European Space Agency ESA for a study “Conceiving a Lunar Base Using 3D Printing Technologies”. OHB is leading a team with three more partners (Comex, Liquifer, Sonaca). The team will evaluate the feasibility and implementation effort of using Additive Layer Manufacturing in the construction, operations and maintenance of a lunar base.



MT Aerospace is conducting research into new concepts for commercial micro-launchers on behalf of ESA

Augsburg, February 13, 2018. Until now, small satellites have frequently had to “ride piggyback” on larger missions. In an effort to find ways of reducing the time required to place them in low earth orbits, the European Space Agency ESA recently instructed MT Aerospace AG (a subsidiary of listed technology group OHB SE) among others to conduct feasibility studies into micro-launchers.
